Us Vs. Them

There’s been a lot of talk recently in Washington about the debt ceiling, in particular, raising the debt ceiling. Raising the debt ceiling again. Nobody was for it, nobody liked the idea and it sounded like it would be another defeat for President Trump’s administration. Then came a hurricane to Texas. And then another hurricane came to Florida. Now there is a certainty that the debt ceiling will be raised. Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

There’s also been a lot talk recently, both in Washington and here in Sacramento about the tax codes, about the taxes we pay based on both our individual incomes and on goods or services. There is a lot of speculation that the ever increasing tax burdens will outpace the rate of inflation, which is another very negative aspect of American life these past so many decades…Inflation is always rising but have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

There’s also been more than enough talk about immigration, about building Trump’s infamous “Make America Great Again Wall” and about the reversal of the DACA (“Dreamers Program”) regulations…They are issues created and sometimes fabricated by candidates which appeal to the base nature of many Americans who are struggling economically, socially or morally. They were and remain big campaign issues but have you noticed that politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them?

I often talk about how it’s always been “We The People” who are the true rulers of this land, we are the masters of our American Destiny and we duly elect people as public servants to be our representatives, to dole out the bureaucracy to make it all happen…but in the end, I have often said, it’s down to We The People for if The People Will Lead, The Leaders Will Follow.

But maybe I’m wrong.

Consider this, if you will, for a moment, consider these facts…

words 2.png
  • You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does.
  • You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
  • You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.
  • You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.
  • You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
  • You and I don’t make judicial decisions about the laws of the land. The Supreme Court does.

We The People being 300 Million of You and Me...

There are 100 duly elected Senators, two from each state to represent We The People in The Senate. There are 435 Congressional representatives from all fifty states to give us representation in The House of Representatives. There are nine sitting Justices on The United Supreme Court to make those final rulings on so many different issues of justice and legality, nine minds who sway the law of the land. And there is 1 President of The United States, along with his cabinet, administration and staff to publicly serve We The People. We The People being 300 million of you and me.

We The 300,000,000 People have 545 Public Servants to Hold Accountable for The State of The Union of these United States of America. These 545 human beings, duly elected or appointed by We The People are directly, legally, morally and individually responsible for the domestic problems which plague our nation now and the foreseeable future. It’s not the slant and filters of the media, it’s not the big money influences of lobbyists, it’s not the scourge of illegals or sneaky bad Russians or insane Illuminati Globalist or the opioid epidemic or anyone or anything other than these 545 people who are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

In 1913, when Congress delegated it’s fiscal duties as defined by The Constitution to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered but private central bank, they created The Federal Reserve Board; so although monetary policies are controlled by The Federal Reserve Bank, they are exempt from accountability because they are solely the creation and continuation of the actions of Congress and The President. Although many of the skewed rates of inflation, the (de)valuation of currency, the decisions of regulatory practices and other matters of huge, global banking operations are guided through The United States Central Bank and The Federal Reserve, they are not exactly directly culpable for the financial crises of recent years…nor the one that seems to be looming just beyond the horizon. The Federal Reserve Board is an extension of the Constitutional Responsibilities of The Congress and President of The United States which mean, in essence, The Fed answers to The President and Congress…so they are not accountable for the mess of our economy, the people who gave them the power are responsible.

It’s not special interests or lobbyist either, they have no legal authority to compel or thwart or coerce a single senator, congressperson or even President to do anything at all…no matter if they offer money or favors or influence among the constituents…every single politician has the power to accept or reject any given offer, to accept or reject any given argument because in the end it’s the legislator’s responsibility to decide how or why a vote is cast or policy is crafted or regulations are determined. The lobbyist does not make this decision, they can and do try to influence the decision, but the decision still and always remains the responsibility of the duly elected servant of We The People.

Likewise, it’s not the fourth pillar, the media, who is to blame. Certainly they are involved in how any given story is spun, if it’s a right leaning or left leaning story…they decide which stories are told too and they are even responsible for the truth of the content they report; but they do not have a mandate to control which decisions are actually being made, they have no control over the policies or laws or being passed…it’s just like the evil lobbyist, no matter what they say or do, it’s still coming down to any number of those 545 individuals who cast the final votes, who actually write and enforce those laws and regulations. The media was at one time held to a “Fairness Doctrine”, a portion of regulation in the FCC rules that ensured the news was reported in a “fair and balanced way” however this is not so anymore…and why not? Because 30 years ago, in 1987, the 545 duly elected and appointed servants of the people removed that mandate for “fair and balanced” and “truthful” news from the FCC regulations. So no, the media may be screwed up, it may slant and color things, it may even be fabricating news to serve a nefarious agenda…but it is not their fault we’re in the quagmire we’re in because the media has no legal authority to change one word in the law books, to make any policies or enforce any kind of justice…it’s still the responsibility of each of those 545 people in elected offices.

All those other “bad guys” who are blamed for whatever problems The United States is dealing with…be they illegal aliens, the Russians, ISIS or other foreign powers, the war on drugs or the internal rabble rousers like the alt-right, Antifa, conservative Christians or liberal atheist or even the bloody NFL or rap music…they are not to blame either. Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party. They are master deflectors, pinning the responsibility for whatever problem, whichever crisis on anyone but themselves…they blame all other sources first, then if they’re pushed, they blame each other too but it’s never themselves…Those 545 people will tell you it’s not because of them your water is not drinkable or your healthcare is not affordable or the economy is stagnated…they will tell you they are, and have always been, on YOUR side. They are liars. They are not concerned about OUR interests nearly as much as they are concerned about their own self-interests…or the collective interest of their given party…or worse, the special interests of those who line their pockets with silver and gold. It’s a game being played upon the people of this nation and they’ve lied to us about who the enemy is…it’s not an external force, it’s not an internal faction or opposing political party…the enemy of The Republicans are not The Democrats, it’s not Democrats versus Republicans…it’s Them Vs. Us…it’s the 545 duly elected public servants versus the 300,000,000 of you and me.

What makes somebody a “Master Politian” is not the ability to get things done, it isn’t their ability to lead or craft compromise or set an agenda…it’s their unmitigated ability to lie with a straight face under close scrutiny and the excessive amount of gall they possess. This is what separates the Politian who remains in office for years, even decades from a normal human being like you or me; they have a unique capacity to be deceptive without conscious. You or me would not have the gall of a Speaker of The House who stands before the governing body, the press and the American people to stand up to The President and criticize them for creating such an incredible deficit. You know what I’m talking about, for example, many are quick to blame former President Obama (or Bush, or any other President) for proposing and creating this enormous deficit. Yet The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. The President can only propose a budget, The President cannot force the Congress to accept it. Who is the speaker of the House now? He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

Plainly, if the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair. If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red. If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it's because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan...If these 545 people do not get Obamacare/ACA healthcare coverage but a “Cadillac version” of Medicare, if they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way. Is it no wonder they have repeatedly defeated proposals for public campaign financing, congressional term limits or Constitutional amendments for a debt ceiling tied to the Gross National Product?

There are no insoluble government problems.

Each and every problem can indeed be resolved.

It seems inconceivable that in a nation of 300 million of you and me, we cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist. Do not let these 545 public servants shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; nor to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; nor to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Nor, above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," "politics," or “terrorism” that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do. Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible. They, and they alone, have the power. They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses, provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees...We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

When The People Lead, The Leaders Will Follow.

What in the heck happened? Can you spell 'politicians?' and count to 545? That’s what it takes, that’s all it takes…if they are ALL voted from office, not only will the message be sent but progress will be getting made. Imagine if We The People were to abandon our own political party affiliation, for just one election cycle, if you’re a Democrat or Republican, for one election everybody is COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT. Even if we each were to cast off those elected representatives we favor in consideration that they too may be part of the problem, for just one election cycle and vote for somebody WHO IS NOT A REPUBLICAN NOR DEMOCRAT…there would be such a resounding message sent that it would echo and ripple through our political and republic democracy it would be heard for decades. It would be an absolute game changer…and we only need to vote this way once. For one election cycle, for every single electable position in that field of 545 public servants, if the majority of We The People vote for ANYONE but a Republican or Democrat; especially if there is an “incumbent” sitting the office, if we all vote for anyone but the “ruling parties”, there would be significant and real change if only because WE THE PEOPLE have clearly spoken. We The People have spoken and we declare that we’ve had enough!

Think about it. Imagine if We The People stick up for We The People and not The Political System for a change. Put away the labels, do not fall for that “conquer and divide” strategy. It is NOT because of “The Liberals”, it is NOT because of “The Conservatives”…but what IT IS because of each and every one of those 545 duly elected public servants that have been in office. They are responsible and they should be held accountable and we start by getting rid of every single one of those 545 bastards! It is NOT about Republicans Vs. Democrats because they are ALL culpable; instead IT IS about you and me, We The People against The People Who Rule OUR Nation…It is Us Vs. Them!

I know, I sometimes go off on things and get all preachy, but truthfully I have had absolutely enough of every single one of those 545 people…and I actually sort of like and appreciate a few of them, but the whole lot, regardless of my feelings or your feelings, have failed us miserably. Short of a 21st Century Civil War or Second American Revolution, other than letting this nation sink into further division, disarray and certain anarchy, we need to act now, act swift and act soundly. I know I will and I plan on talking to anyone who will listen…vote out every single incumbent, vote for anybody but a Democrat or Republic, don’t listen to labels and think for yourself…Let’s change things, We The People because it is Us Vs. Them…and when the people lead, the leaders will follow.
